I left Bangkok in June 1961 and spent the next 45 days traveling back to the US through Europe. College was in Atlanta, where I graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1965, then into the US Army for a stint in Korea up along the DMZ, then back home for marriage to Sandy in 1967. Shortly afterward, I returned to graduate school at Harvard and finished in 1970 with an MBA.

My work career focused on management in both high and low tech industries and took us to locales too numerous to mention. Probably the most enjoyable was a four year period where I ran manufacturing operations in Penang, Malaysia for a company building hard disk drives for the OEM computer business. During this time, the family stayed in California and I traveled back and forth each month, spending about half time in each location and earning far too many frequent flyer miles to count (almost). My body may have gone the distance but I think my brain was indefinitely suspended somewhere over Hawaii.

After moving perhaps 20 times, I've retired now and Sandy and I live near Monterey, California. Our three wonderful children are off on their own; two are married, but haven't given us grandchildren yet, but we remain hopeful and jealous of those of you who enjoy your own. We travel quite often, work on remodeling houses, sail and spend time with family. One of my continuing interests is international relations, so spend time with the World Affairs Council in our area, and pursue other similar interests.

Thanks to all who have prepared this effort to stay in touch. It's quite a kick to renew friendships from those years long past!
